Clinics

Clinics provide excellent opportunities for pro bono attorneys to meet one-on-one with low-income individuals in the community. Typically volunteers provide advice and consultation, direct representation and/or education/outreach services. Clinics can be general in nature or targeted to a particular legal need or client group.

The National Celebration of Pro Bono features diverse strategies to effectively engage volunteers with clients in a clinical setting. Below are materials for two types of clinics held in Alabama during the celebration. These materials include a planning timeline to get you started sample flyers and news releases to publicize your event and materials to record and track the services you provided. 2019 Pro Bono Impact Videos

Each weekend during Pro Bono Month, we featured an Alabama lawyer who donates time to provide free legal aid through one of Alabama’s Volunteer Lawyers Programs. We hoped their video messages inspired and connected others to the essential work of providing legal assistance to those living on the social margins.
