Mississippi Newspapers Offer Convenience, Speed with mspublicnotices.com

The newspapers of Mississippi now offer online access to hundreds of public notices (legal ads) published daily and weekly throughout the state. In conjunction with the Mississippi Press Association, mspublicnotices.com offers easy access to notices ranging from county and municipal bids to foreclosures and financial reports. All are available in a searchable, county-by-county electronic archive.

Smart Search features are available for those interested in tracking notices by county or category. A Smart Search subscription allows you to receive the information daily via e-mail at no charge.

The Web site is adding new participating newspapers from cities and counties across the state daily.

Mississippi newspapers, which have been the publisher of public notice advertisements for over a century, launched this service to improve public access to public notices and foster more accountability and transparency in government. The service is provided at no charge to government agencies or the public.

DISCLAIMER: Even though the Mississippi Press Association is promoting mspublicnotices.com, our state's newspapers will continue to publish public notices in print as prescribed by state law. For many rural communities in Mississippi, print publication of public notices via a local newspaper remains the only reliable method for state and local governments to communicate important information to their constituencies. mspublicnotices.com is intended to be a free supplement to print publication of public notices via a local newspaper for important information.
