Each year the Alabama State Bar celebrates those members of the bar who have been admitted to practice law for fifty (50) years with recognition and a presentation of a special fifty-year certificate and pin.
In years past, the presentation of the certificate and pin has occurred at the annual meeting of the Alabama State Bar. Over the years, we have witnessed a trend of fewer and fewer members appearing for this recognition. We also recognize that, at times, the event can be hurried, and there is not enough time for our honorees to visit with their friends and colleagues. We believe this achievement should have an expanded celebration.
Starting in the Fall of 2024, we plan to honor these individuals at a Milestone Luncheon in lieu of the presentation at the annual meeting,
We certainly still welcome and applaud our fifty year members at the annual meeting, but we look forward to giving these men and women a celebration more fitting of their achievements.

The 2024 Milestone Luncheon will be held at the Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa on Sept. 19, 2024. All 50-year members will be notified by mail with further details. Please email Chad Coker at chad.coker@alabar.org if you have not received a letter and invitation by mail.
