The Alabama State Bar has two immediate positions available for Director of the Alabama Lawyer Assistance Program (ALAP) and Assistant Ethics Counsel in the Office of General Counsel. 13th Judicial Circuit Seeks Applicants for Director of the Mobile County Public Defender's Office

Collaborative Practice of Law Free Webinar Series
The Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution, the Birmingham Bar Collaborative Law Alliance and the Solo/Small Firm & Dispute Resolution Sections of the Alabama State Bar are sponsoring a series of free 60-minute webinars (all approved for MCLE credit) on Sept. 20, Oct. 18, and Dec. 6. Additionally, the Alabama Appellate Mediation Office and the Center for Dispute Resolution are sponsoring “Appellate Mediation” training on November 15, 2019 in Montgomery. This course has been approved for 6.8 hours of MCLE credit. Register here.
Award Reception for 2019 Susan Bevill Livingston Leadership Award Winner
The Women’s Section of the Alabama State Bar will hold a reception honoring this year’s Susan Bevill Livingston Leadership Award winner, Allison Skinner, on Sept. 19, from 5-7 p.m., at Cadence Bank headquarters in Birmingham . This award honors a woman lawyer who demonstrates a continual commitment to those around her as a mentor, a sustained level of leadership throughout her career, and a commitment to her community.
