February Bar Exam Results Released; Spring 2020 Admissions Ceremony Cancelled

The February 2020 bar exam results have been released. The pass list and statistics are available here. Due to COVID-19, the Spring Admission Ceremony has been cancelled by Order of the Supreme Court. Those individuals admitted to the Alabama State Bar since the most recent ceremony will be invited to participate in the Fall Admission Ceremony. The Alabama State Bar continues to prepare for the July 2020 administration of the Alabama Bar Exam. The Supreme Court of Alabama will decide If any changes are necessary due to COVID-19, and applicants will receive direct communication from the Alabama State Bar.

Qualification Deadline is Friday for 2020 Board of Bar Commissioners Election

This is a reminder that this Friday, April 24, is the deadline to qualify as a candidate for election to the Board of Bar Commissioners (BBC) of the Alabama State Bar. You can click here to view information on the election, including the BBC seats that are up for election this year. The online election will be held May 18-22, 2020.

Virtual Courtroom Etiquette Reminder

As a reminder, virtual courtrooms are still courts of law and proper attire and demeanor is required. You can contact the Judge's office prior to a video conference session should you have questions about what is expected.

Comments Accepted on Child Support Guidelines

The Alabama Advisory Committee on Child Support Guidelines and Enforcement is scheduled to meet remotely by teleconference on Thursday, April 30. Materials for this meeting may be found here. Anyone wishing to submit written comments and suggestions to the Committee concerning the Guidelines and Schedule, which are used by courts in this State in determining the amounts of child support to be paid, may do so by mailing them, postmarked no later than April 21, to this address:
