Alabama State Bar Members Will Soon Gain Access to Fastcase
Today, the Alabama State Bar officially announced our partnership with Fastcase, which will soon provide our members with free access to Fastcase’s nationwide legal research platform. You can read that announcement here. We are in the process of adding the Fastcase platform to our website, and we'll offer extensive in-person and video training once it is available.
At the May Board of Bar Commissioners' Meeting, Fastcase was approved as a new member benefit in place of Casemaker after months of vetting and testing. Members will still have access to Casemaker through September 1. We have put together a series of FAQs about the transition from Casemaker to Fastcase here.
A Virtual Congratulations to the Newest Alabama State Bar Members
This past week, we would have celebrated the Spring Admissions Ceremony for the newest admitees of the Alabama State Bar. Unfortunately, that ceremony had to be cancelled, but President Christy Crow, Supreme Court of Alabama Chief Justice Tom Parker, Presiding Judge Mary Windom of the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals and Presiding Judge Bill Thompson of the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals still wanted to give a virtual word of congratulations and greetings to all those entering the profession! Help us share this video with all those you know who would have attended the Spring Ceremony. We look forward to celebrating all of you in person at the Fall Admissions Ceremony in October!
