Chad Coker | Director of Operations

Chad Coker joined the Alabama State Bar staff as Director of Operations in 2023. Coker served as District Judge for Colbert County, Alabama, for twelve years. Prior to his election he was a practicing attorney representing a cross section of his community from financial institutions to indigent clients. While on the bench his passion has been to try to make the lives of the children he serves better while eliminating the need for foster care for these youth as quickly as possible. He has partnered with State DHR and Casey Family Programs to enact a data driven approach to identify weaknesses within the foster care system that delay permanency. Chad is a former President of the University of Alabama National Alumni Association and a former President of the Alabama District Judge’s Association.
