Mark Debro Honored with Commissioners Award
MIRIMAR BEACH, Fla. and MONTGOMERY, Ala.—The Alabama State Bar has awarded Mark Debro the 2022 Commissioners Award.
Debro was presented with the award at the 145th Annual Meeting of the Alabama State Bar on June 25, 2022, at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Miramar Beach, Fla. Debro was celebrated for the many ways he has impacted his community and profession.
Debro is a graduate of Cumberland School of Law. He is a member of Grace, Matthews and Debro, LLC in Huntsville. Debro is active in the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association, where he has served as president, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, where he has served as director.
Alabama State Bar President Taze Shepard said, “The Alabama State Bar is proud to award Mark Debro with the Commissioners Award. He has been dedicated to the improvement of the administration of justice in Alabama for many years.”
He is a member of the Alabama State Bar Executive Committee, the Board of Bar Commissioners, and is actively involved in numerous bar committees. Debro is also a Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation and the American Bar Association. He has been married to Angela (Ane) Debro for 28 years. They have two adult children, John, II and Lara. Debro is an active member of First Missionary Baptist Church.
“Mark Debro is very deserving of this award,” Alabama State Bar Executive Director Terri Lovell said. “We have all benefited from his contributions to the Alabama State Bar.”
