MCLE Commission Extends Virtual Accommodation for Annual CLE Requirement

The Alabama State Bar’s MCLE Commission has extended its suspension of MCLE Regulation 3.1 through Dec. 31, 2022. Regulation 3.1 requires that a minimum of 6 credit hours of the 12 credit hours required annually must be earned through attendance at in-person or livestreamed ASB-approved programs. This accommodation allows Alabama attorneys the flexibility of satisfying their full annual CLE requirement (12 hours, including 1 ethics hour) with approved on-demand and/or virtual courses.
