Raymond Bell Honored with Award of Merit
MIRIMAR BEACH, Fla. and MONTGOMERY, Ala.—The Alabama State Bar has awarded Raymond Bell the 2022 Award of Merit.
Bell was presented with the award at the 145th Annual Meeting of the Alabama State Bar on June 25, 2022, at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Miramar Beach, Fla. Bell was celebrated for the many ways he impacted his community and profession.
Bell is a graduate of the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. He is a shareholder with Maynard, Cooper and Gale and has practiced law since 1999. He is admitted to practice in state, federal, district, circuit and appellate courts.
Alabama State Bar President, Taze Shepard said “The Alabama State Bar is proud to award Raymond Bell with the Award of Merit. He exemplifies a dedication to service to the legal profession in Alabama.”
Early in his career, Bell served in various lawyer-related roles in complex, public finance transactions. Intrigued by non-lawyer roles, he sought and received Series 52 and 63 investment banking licenses. He has continued to work as a lawyer in transactions and enjoys participating in complex bond matters, infrastructure improvement, multi-family development, and other public finance deals.
“Raymond Bell is very deserving of this award,” Alabama State Bar Executive Director Terri Lovell said. “We have all benefited from his contributions to the Alabama State Bar.”
