Power cords for laptops and other electronic equipment are expensive, costing anywhere from around $60 to well over $100 each. If you travel with a laptop or digital projector, sooner or later you’re going to leave your power cord somewhere. Whoever finds it will be a lot more likely to try to reunite you with it if you’ve taken the time to tape one of your business cards, with your name, address, phone numbers (especially cell phone number) and email address, to the transformer. Likewise, make sure your laptop bag is properly tagged, and also sprinkle a handful of business cards inside. If you take your eyes off it for long in a public place, it’s probably gone for good, but honest people do exist, and you make your own luck by being prepared for the possibility that, if distracted, you may leave something behind.
